After White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was asked to leave a diner in Virginia, U.S. President Donald Trump attacked the Red Hen restaurant on Twitter by saying, "The Red Hen Restaurant should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders."
The restaurant’s co-owner said that her staff had called her to report Sanders was in the restaurant.
The co-owner said she was concerned about the well-being of several restaurant employees who were personally affected by the policies of the Trump administration and asked Sanders to leave.
