A steel tunnel, designed to look like a bookworm, bisects a giant new store of secondhand books that recently opened in Seoul. The 1,400-square-meter warehouse located under the Jamsil rail bridge had been vacant since 2014.
Now, after significant renovations the space has been repurposed as a bookstore, boasting some 130,000 books in stock. Naturally, the new space will have all the trappings of any conventional bookstore, including areas for performances and speeches as well as a market.
