As the uncertainty of Brexit looms over both the United Kingdom and the European Union, scores of Britons are making alternate plans.
Many are opting for Irish residency, citizenship, or naturalization in the wake of Brexit.
In some cases, the procedure to do so is rather straightforward, while at other times it can involve copious amounts of paperwork and exorbitant fees. Applications for Irish passports have risen to record levels, with almost 250,000 requests since January, a 30% increase from the same period last year.
