The New Zealand prime minister has won praise around the world for her handling of the aftermath of the Christchurch shootings. Wearing a hijab and a pained expression, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern visited the families of Muslims who were killed in a terror attack on two mosques in Christchurch. Promising to ensure their safety in New Zealand, the prime minister promised to hasten the return of the bodies of the family's deceased loved ones. She also offered to pay for the funerals of those who died. Many New Zealanders showed solidarity with the victims’ relatives by visiting mosques and placing flowers on memorials. Following the attack, New Zealand's prime minister said she will never speak the name of the Christchurch attack suspect, and urged the public to remember the victims’ names instead.
