The designer of the world wide web, Tim Berners-Lee, says the internet needs to grow into maturity. This week marked its 30th anniversary. But Berners-Lee said internet users are taking a step back and realizing that amidst Trump and Brexit, the internet is not necessarily serving humanity well. He says the Trump administration has shaken the assumption that the internet's neutrality could be taken for granted. Just like a teenager acting out needs to grow up, the internet he says also needs to move towards a more mature, responsible and inclusive future.
