The Korean government's so-called "Vacation Fund for Workers" is proving to be quite popular. According to the organization in charge of the fund, an average of 1,200 people per day are applying. To date, more than 15,000 people have applied, with more than 20,000 expected to apply by the April 20 deadline. Under the terms of the fund, if employees contribute 200,000 Korean won to the fund, then the company and the government will provide an additional 100,000 won each. The final list of companies that can participate in the fund will be announced on April 30.
