It may be becoming more affordable to live in Seoul. Jeonsae apartment units were few and far between. But now there are more units out on the market for jeonsae rent. Moreover, prices have dropped to the lowest level in 2 years and 8 months. Now it will cost an average of 68.5% of the purchase price to rent a home under the jeonsae system. Monthly rental prices under the wolsae system in Seoul has also dropped by about 30%. However, purchase prices of apartments in Seoul continue to rise.
